§1 Scope and Provider

These general terms and conditions apply to all orders and services received via the Maps4Print online shop.

The products in our online shop are exclusively aimed at adults who have reached the legal age of majority (usually 18).

Our deliveries, services and offers are made exclusively on the basis of these general terms and conditions. The general terms and conditions are therefore applicable to all future business relationships, even if they are not specifically agreed upon again. The inclusion ofgeneral terms and conditions of a customers own terms and conditions is invalid.

The contract languages are German and English.

§2 Conclusion of contract

The presentation of maps in the online shop does not provide a binding purchase contract. It is rather to be seen as a non-binding invitation to order products and services in the online store. Displayed items may be subject to change.

By clicking the button „Buy now“ you are submitting a binding purchase offer applicable by German law (§ 145 BGB).

Products are delivered by a E-Mail notification. Customers have to login to their accounts and can then proceed to download the content. After the notification has been sent, the provider is able to charge the customer.

§3 Pricing

All pricing information on this page includes VAT, but exclude shipping fees. The pricing information is calculated according to the customers map size / font density / options and will be displayed on the page with the "Buy now" button.

§4 Terms of payment / late payment

Viable payment options are:

Unless otherwise agreed, the delivery of the goods takes place by providing the map in your customer account. You will receive an e-mail from us when your map has been processed. Through this link you can save your map as a .zip file on your chosen storage medium.

When paying via debit, you'll eventually have to account for costs that arise due to reverse posting of a payment transaction (due to missing money) or bank account information that was incorrectly entered by you.

If you are late for a certain payment, you are obliged to pay the legal late payment interest rate of 5 percent above the base rate. For every warning letter, which is sent to you after late payment has arised, a reminder fee of 2.50€ ($2.80) is charged, exept in cases where a lower or higher damage can be proven.

§5 Refuse of payment / Right of retention

The customer will only be entitled to a right of retention or to refuse payment in the case of service demonstrating a significant deficiency and only as far as the sum to be withheld is reasonable in relationship to the anticipated costs of removing the deficiency in this case.This right is only in effect if the deficiency is legally proven and notobjected by us.

You only have a right of retention if your deficiency or claim is based on the original contract that the purchase was acted upon.

§6 Delivery

If not otherwise agreed upon, the supplier shall be obliged to render the delivery free of any industrial property rights. The delivery is achieved by a download link for the data plus an E-Mail notification.The download link can be activated to start the download of the dataonto your chosen medium.

The customer has the responsibility to ensure usable software for further processing of the products.

The delivery includes the desired map in .PDF (Portable Document Format) and .AI (Adobe Illustrator Format), as well as the necessary copyright notices for your map, used fonts, a legend of the map, and a scale bar and street index, if ordered.

WE DRAW YOUR ATTENTION TO THE FACT THAT THE COPYRIGHT MUST BE NOTED ON THE FINAL PRODUCT. OUR MAP DATA IS LICENSED VIA THE "Open Data Commons Open Database License" (ODbL). IT IS THE DUTY OF THE CUSTOMER TO INCLUDE THE CREDIT "© OpenStreetMap contributors" SOMEWHERE ON THE FINAL PRODUCT. More Information is available at: 

§7 Cancellation terms / Right of withdrawal

After sending the order confirmation by us, there is no right of withdrawal for customers. Due to our automated map creation process from a customer specification is not something that is suitable for a return process.Therefore, there is no right of withdrawal.

§8 Deficiency claims

The claims of a customer are subject to the german law. The customer has to prove the correctness of the delivered products and send us deficiency claims in up to two weeks after delivery. We do not assume liability for claims caused by the customer or claims delivered after two weeks after delivery.
